Telford
Telford is a New Town located in Shropshire and is one of the fastest growing stars of the West Midlands.
Telford is a modern town set within beautiful countryside. A town which is almost a city, yet without the hassles of metropolitan life.
The Borough of Telford and Wrekin is a vibrant mix of urban and rural with a population of 166,000. The Borough is also composed of several small towns including Wellington, Dawley, Donnington, Madeley and Oakengates.
Newport & Ironbridge
To the north east of Telford is the market town of Newport and situated on the southern edge of the River Severn is Ironbridge, the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Although Telford is the hub of the areas economy and population, the Borough has a significant rural area which is located to the north and west of the town. The Borough is also symbolic with the conical hill that dominates the skyline, the Wrekin which is 1,335 ft high and affords spectacular views of the Borough and the surrounding Shropshire countryside.
Market Drayton & Shifnal
Other areas include Market Drayton and Shifnal. Market Drayton is a traditional farming town with a large rural community and an extensive programme of barn conversions during the last 10 years with many farms diversifying. To the east is the area of Shifnal which is an affluent village with a long established community.
Both towns also border several of the Stafford postcodes covered by Belvoirs Stafford and Stone offices. To the west the postcodes border the Shrewsbury Belvoir office.
