Before a letting commences we arrange for an independant inventory clerk to produce a comprehensive inventory of the property. Therefore when a tenant comes to vacate the property at the end of the tenancy neither the landlord or the agent can be seen as biased. Belvoir Portsmouth and Southsea will be more than happy to meet, at a time to suit you, at your property where we can advise you on an acheivable rental figure in todays market as well as informing you of your legal duties as a landlord. All our tenants are fully referenced and have to conform with our strict criteria. Belvoir Portsmouth and Southsea will carry out credit checks, employers references and previous landlord references to ensure all our tenants meet our requirements. A member of our staff will be present at every viewing set up by this office. If someone turns up unaccompanied by a Belvoir Portsmouth and Southsea staff member - we did not send them. When a tenant takes occupation of one of our managed properties we set up a 'visit on behalf of the landlord' for exactly a month after. We can then meet the tenants at the property and ensure they are happy with the property and no problems have arisen. We then book 'visits on behalf of landlords' for every three months so we can check for any maintenace issues and report back to the landlord the condition of their property. Household Insurance
