What does Knutsford have to offer?

Knutsford, in the heart of Cheshire, is a very up-market town steeped in history and tradition. Ideally situated for the traveler on the doorstep of the M6/M56 and a short distance from Manchester airport.
Knutsford has retained it's quirky, quaintness over the years with many designer shops attracting the rich and famous. Indeed it was the inspiration for Elizabeth Gaskell's novels, known then as Cranford. The Gaskell Tower dominates King Street, designed by Richard Harding Watt , who also shaped much of Knutsford in the Moorish, Italian style at the turn of the century. The Belle Epoque restaurant is a wonderful reminder of this era.
Knutsford was the home to Sir Frederick Henry Royce of Rolls Royce and visitors are welcomed into Knutsford by the prestigious showrooms on the Canute Square roundabout.
It is also reputed that Knutsford's name came from King Canute when he crossed the river to enter the town.
Flanked on all sides by countryside and set alongside the beautiful Tatton estate, Knutsford is a gem of a place to live.<
