With the herald of 2010, it seems the green shoots of growth seem to be gathering pace in the housing market in Kettering.  The number of properties that are coming on to the sales market has slowly reduced, and this combined with rents slowly creeping upwards, means the best buy-to-let properties are being snapped up quickly.

The reason for the better prospects seems to be that the worst of the recession seems to be over and banks are lending more money for mortgages.  This, in turn, has led to many landlords taking the opportunity to extend their portfolios or simply get on the investment property ladder.  Either way, yields have nearly doubled over the past 18 months, due to low interest rates and lowering of property prices.
